This skill represents the character's ability to understand and decipher technology, such as steam engines. It is not a crafting skill, though it can be considered to be essential to steam crafting.

This skill allows the character to understand and author blueprints for technological devices (blueprints are essential to building technological items). The more ranks the character has in this skill, the more likely they are to be successful at drafting blueprints or reverse-engineering existing components.

This is an exceptionally poor starting skill for all characters unless they are planning to devote their lives to building technological devices.
