Second Elvish War

The Second Elvish War (35 PR - 42 PR) is the first (and to date, only) war between elves and the combined forces of several human, dwarven, and orc nations that was not instigated by the Atlantean Elves. It was a "revenge" war, started from the widespread belief that the elves were responsible for the Great Rising.

For the most part, the Second Elvish War was a tame event; most societies - including the Atlanteans - were still recovering and rebuilding from the Great Rising. Most skirmishes took places over water, though the Catalan city of Córdoba was invaded and sacked by Elvish forces.

Essentially, the war ended because neither side was able to continue fighting. The Elven forces had been exhausted and the forces of the unified islands were unable to maintain the logisitics to continue to the war.
