The Longbow Accords are a series of great treaties involving cessation of hostilities between the Elven Kingdom and several non-Elvish states. They further describe a state of co-operation between the states to Rid the land and the sea from the creeping Blight that threatens to consume us all. The Accords were signed in 1028 PR.

The Accords are the work of King Ptolos III of Macedonia, who recognized the danger posed by the Blight and felt that only by working together could the inhabitants of Terracopia hope to push back the Corruption.

The Accords were (are) a landmark event in this history of relations with the Elves; non-elvish nations had previously banded together to fight the Elves, but diplomatic relations with Atlantis had never been formed.

The Accords allow for members of the elvish species to pass through the islands of Terracopia unmolested by legal authority simply for being elvish (they are still subject to other local laws of the regions). Trade routes to Atlantis have opened, though they are still in the larval stage of growth. The Elves are forbidden to obtain slaves during this time, though existing slaves are not to be freed. Further, non-elf presence upon Atlantis is restricted to small areas within each port city.

The Accords call for all members to pledge a significant force of arms to aid in the struggle at the Cisalpine Blight.

Many view the Accords with a distrustful and critical eye, believing that allowing the Elves inside the islands in such numbers is tantamount to "giving them the keys to the castle". However, there have been no overtly hostile moves by the Elven Kingdom, and they appear to be good for their word.
