Blood Gate

A Blood Gate is an interdimensional "doorway" between the SteamFront world and the Corruption dimension. There are several Blood Gates. Typically, each is surrounded by a region of Blight - sometimes for miles.

Blood Gates appear as large pools of stagnant blood, congealing along the edges. Daemons passing through the Gate to the archipelago rise to the surface of the blood pool and swim to the edge of it, before crawling onto land.

The existence of Blood Gates is the result of the creation of Resurrection Pits, though there is no known correlation between the number of Pits and the number or strength of the Blood Gates.

It is possible for individuals to pass through a Blood Gate to the Corruption dimension, just as the Corruption passes through from the Corruption dimension to the archipelago.
