Awareness

This skill represents a character's ability to innately recognize important details in his environment. It is an automatic skill and requires no action from the player. It helps to counteract successful Stealth rolls by other characters.

Higher ranks in this skill mean that the character is better able to detect hidden and stealthy creatures in the area. It further provides a limited ability to detect invisible creatures and characters.

This is a poor choice of starting skill. The effects of awareness are not useful until later in the game.
